Taper drill rod is widely used for rock drilling, blasting holes, and other drilling works in quarries, coal mines, traffic projects, and other construction sites. It works in conjunction with taper drill bits and is available in different lengths for various applications.
The light-duty rock drills usually utilize a 7° taper or smaller, while heavy-duty rock drills mainly use 11° or 12° taper angles. It is essential that the taper drill rods and taper drill bits share the same tapered degree for proper operation.
Technical Note: Shank hex 22 mm (7/8") x 108 mm (4 1/4"). Rod hex 22 mm (7/8). Flushing hole diameter 6.7 mm.
