Product Description

Anchoring is widely used in tunnel for pre-support, slope, coast, mine, water conservancy projects, building foundation, roadbed reinforcement and geological faulty treatment such as landslip, crack, and sink age. It is an irreplaceable solution in narrow construction environments.

System Advantages
Self Drilling Hollow Bar Anchor System

Comprised of a hollow threaded bar attached with a drill bit that performs drilling. The hollow bar allows air and water to freely pass through during drilling to remove debris. After reaching the required depth, grout fills the hollow bar under pressure, completely covering the bolt.

Coupler

Used to join hollow bars and extend the bolt length, allowing the anchor to be elongated based on project requirements.

Plate and Nut

Installed according to specific design requirements to provide necessary tension and stability.

Drill Bit

Available in various designs to be selected based on specific ground conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Self-Drilling Hollow Bar Anchor System?
It is an advanced anchoring system that combines drilling, grouting, and anchoring into a single operation. The hollow bar serves as both the drill rod and the tendon of the anchor.
In what ground conditions is this system most effective?
It is particularly effective in loose, broken, or collapsing ground conditions where maintaining an open borehole is difficult using traditional methods.
Can the anchor length be extended on-site?
Yes, by using specialized couplers, the hollow bars can be joined together to achieve the required depth specified in the project design.
How is the grout applied to the system?
Grout is pumped through the hollow center of the bar. It acts as both a flushing agent during drilling and a bonding agent that secures the bar to the surrounding soil or rock once drilling is complete.
What is the purpose of the drill bit in this system?
The drill bit is the consumable part that performs the cutting. Different bit types (e.g., cross-bits or button bits) are chosen depending on the hardness and geological properties of the strata.
What components make up the full anchor assembly?
The complete system typically includes a sacrificial drill bit, the hollow threaded bar, couplers for extensions, an anchor plate, and a hex or spherical nut.
